UM Coach: Bomb Sniffing Dogs, Spotters on Roofs Before Explosions: “They kept making announcements to the participants do not worry, it’s just a training exercise”
Same witness, different source:
“At the starting line this morning, they had bomb sniffing dogs and the bomb squad out there,” he said. “They kept announcing to runners not to be alarmed, that they were running a training exercise.”
Via: Local15 NBC:
University of Mobile’s Cross Country Coach, who was near the finish line of the Boston Marathon when a series of explosions went off, said he thought it was odd there were bomb sniffing dogs at the start and finish lines.
“They kept making announcements to the participants do not worry, it’s just a training exercise,” Coach Ali Stevenson told Local 15.
Stevenson said he saw law enforcement spotters on the roofs at the start of the race. He’s been in plenty of marathons in Chicago, D.C., Chicago, London and other major metropolitan areas but has never seen that level of security before.
“Evidently, I don’t believe they were just having a training exercise,” Stevenson said. “I think they must have had some sort of threat or suspicion called in.”
CNN reports a state government official said there were no credible threats before the race.
National Guard Deployed
Via: Boston Herald:
Bay State residents can expect the massive security surge prompted by the marathon bombing to continue throughout the week, with Copley Square under lockdown, the Common converted into a National Guard staging area and a flood of law enforcement officials patrolling Boston — even as city officials urged residents to return to work as normal.
“The city of Boston will be open, but it will not be business as usual,” said Gov. Deval Patrick, later adding that life in the city is “not going to be easy, simple or regular.”
Patrick said the National Guard has secured a 15-block crime scene and is limiting access in the area, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation has taken over the probe into who planted the explosives.
“There will be a heightened law enforcement presence. People should expect delays,” he said.
Dot Joyce, a spokeswoman for Mayor Thomas M. Menino, urged those who work in the city to continue as normal only one day after the devastating blast that killed three and injured at least 100.
But Patrick warned that the Copley Street station on the Green Line will be closed today and that commuters should expect random bag checks. There will be MBTA delays.
“We just ask everyone to be patient,” he said, adding that the area around Copley “is pretty much going to be locked down until the investigation is complete.”
Flashback: Warning: “Watch The Metals, When They Dip. It Will Be A Good Indication That Things Are About To Happen.”
I remember reading this one months ago and thinking that it was a bunch of nonsense. These types of predictions come out all the time. Whether this source was the real deal or if they just got lucky, it’s pretty interesting.
So, gold has the biggest sell off since 1983 and then… *BOOM*
In an interview with Doug Hagmann at the Northeast Intelligence Network, the insider warned that life for the average America would change drastically, and soon, and that this change would be preceded by various events, one of which is a major dip in precious metals:
They already are in motion. If you’re looking for a date I can’t tell you. Remember, the objectives are the same, but plans, well, they adapt. They exploit. Watch how this fiscal cliff thing plays out. This is the run-up to the next beg economic event.
I can’t give you a date. I can tell you to watch things this spring. Start with the inauguration and go from there. Watch the metals, when they dip. It will be a good indication that things are about to happen. I got that little tidbit from my friend at [REDACTED]

Officials: There will be a controlled explosion opposite the library within one minute as part of bomb squad activities.
Two bombs struck near the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Monday, turning a celebration into a bloody scene of destruction.
The blasts threw people to the ground, killing two and injuring dozens.
Hospitals reported at least 110 people being treated, at least eight of them in critical condition and 14 in serious condition. At least eight of the patients are children.
“Any responsible individuals, any responsible groups, will feel the full weight of justice,” President Barack Obama vowed.
