COUNTER terror police have launched an investigation after exiled anti-Putin Russian mogul Nikolai Glushkov was found dead with 'strangulation marks' at his London home.
Met Police this afternoon confirmed the death of Glushkov, who was a close friend of Putin critic Boris Berezovsky, was being treated as "unexplained" after he was found dead at the age of 68 last night.
Police are investigating how they came to be targeted, with Prime Minister Theresa May giving President Vladimir Putin a deadline to explain Russia's involvement.
There is no suggestion the Salisbury poisoning was linked to Glushkov's death.
Respected Kommersant business newspaper owned by Alisher Usmanov, claimed there were "traces of strangulation on his neck", with Met Police confirming they were investigating Glushkov's death after being called to his Kingston home last night.
