This is just a quick update on some of the things we have been working on over the last few weeks to enhance and make the site a little more useful. Some of you may have already noticed a few of the changes.
- Updated / Moved Links List: Location is the blue button with link icon on the right sidebar on desktops, under the articles on mobile.
The links list on the original site was a feature that made it very easy to navigate to other alternative media outlets that we source and find informative in general. When we updated the site format 8 years ago many readers were very upset we did away with it on the sidebar of every page and relegated it to an icon on the menu. Most people wouldn't think a list could bring it's own baggage, but it DID. That's probably why very few sites have them today. Deciding to share this list was not an easy decision. I think it is one of the best curated collections of sites in this genre and beyond that you can find. Now, it is in the expandable link form. If you expand it, it will send those banner ads down the site practically out of view. I thought it would be appreciated by some of you and that's why it's there. I will be updating it often. We will integrate it into the mobile menu better, still working on that.

- Added Share Buttons: We have added Gab and Gettr share buttons to the articles
With over 100k followers on Twitter and Facebook, we get 100s of clicks from them daily combined, whereas just a few years ago we would get 10,000s. Both networks have put a clown filter on our followers. Even if you try really hard to follow our site , you will rarely find BLN in your daily timelines. So we are now focusing on more seemingly friendly networks, so if you use them, please share our content if you feel it is worthy of your circles.
- Updated Print Function: It's always a good option, paper does not need a battery.
We installed the print friendly plugin, which does a good job extracting the article from its surrounding ads, comments and other things that you get when you use the print function to print a page.
- Patreons: We are updating the Adfree Experience for Patreons. For $1 measly dollar a month you not only support the website, but you get an adfree experience, and exclusive access to yours truly. Not only that, you also help support independent authors like Ben Bartee. If you haven’t had a chance to read his latest patreon funded article, you should.
